Molly Walka Yankarr was born circa 1940 in Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia. She is a Kurntumarrajarra wioman and the daughter of Paji Honeychild (Deceased).
Billabong Country Rockholes & Claypans depicts a story from her mother’s birthplace, ‘Yirtil Waterhole’. It is an important permanent waterhole in the Great Sandy Desert that is frequented b y the women for water, Yulka grass and important plants grow at this site needed as food sources and bush medicine.
