Polly Ngale was born in circa 1940 into a family of well-known artists. Her works focus on important stories from her birth country, Alparra, Urupuntja, Central Desert. As a senior custodian of Alparra and the stories she has received, Polly Ngala shows an intimate knowledge of bush food species in various stages of growth and decay. Her work is characterised by vibrant colours of the seasonal changes on Alparra Country as she gathers the Arnwetky ( Bush Plum).
