Heather Naparoulla is a Waramungu Indigenous woman painting life growing up on Yindilandji lands, NT. The area had many stations including Alroy Downs located about 200 km east of Tennant Creek, Brunette Downs Station to the north, Dalmore Downs to the south and Alexandria Station to the East. Part of both the Playford River and Buchanan Creek flow through Alroy Downs. Heather recalls her dad driving big mobs of cattle from Alroy Station to town. Naparoulla paints the abundant family of Emus & kangaroos visiting & living on the property.
